KidSnips Services

From simple buzz cuts to fancy up-do’s, we add a little fun to every haircut. And we’re familiar with the latest and most popular trends in hair for kids. We can help kids show their true colors with temporary hair dye, all kinds of braids, even graphics and carvings. Plus, kids get to sit in car-shaped cutting chairs and we offer tablets loaded with games and videos for them to play with – and they can pick a prize from our treasure chest and get a lollipop when they’re done. How fun is that?

And by the way, if you have a scared or wiggly kid, no worries. Our experienced and kid-loving stylists know how to help them have a great experience, too.

All haircuts include consultation, cut, quick blow dry and special finishing touches like hair gel or glitter.

Hair products & accessories.

Our hair products are handpicked by our stylists to work safely with children’s delicate hair and also to help make taking care of your kids hair a lot easier. We carry several kinds of professional products including organic and speciality brands like Original Sprout and Johnny B. And we have great options for lice prevention and treatment, hard-working detanglers and swimmers’ hair products, even things like specialty brushes for wet hair or brushes that help with cradle cap.

We’ve got the fun stuff, too, like glitter and temporary hair color as well as an unbelievable selection of bows and headbands and brushes and combs. And we have new products coming in all the time.

I took my four-year-old daughter to KidSnips based off a referral from a moms group I belong to. I have been having a difficult time getting my daughter to sit still during haircuts, and it usually ends up in a bit of a tantrum. Taking her to KidSnips was a wonderful experience. If I could give ten stars, I would. Valerie=Amazing. She fixed my son’s hair after my failed attempt at an at-home DIY YouTube haircut. She was so amazing. I did not have high hopes walking in, but we left so happy. My son cannot sit still. The hair we came in with was BAD, like really really bad. She was so sweet, super quick, and didn’t even flinch when my son moved once or twice (…it was actually the entire time). She really worked with him. I could tell immediately she knew what she was doing. My son thought his hair was the coolest. We left so happy, and my husband isn’t rolling his eyes at me because his son’s hair is fixed now. When we moved from North Carolina to North Chicago our two young boys were suffering from the fact that haircuts were lower on my priority list. I asked my new neighbors where to take them and they all said KidSnips. From the cars they sat in to the treasure they got after their cuts – they were thrilled.
